...and Michelle Baker, winner of tickets to see the show at Blackpool relates her story...
The day finally arrives, the clock strikes 5 and it's a mad rush out of work to get home, changed and sort the dogs out!
My Mum and Sister finally arrived for me at around 6 and we hit the motorway! All the way there we listened to Billy Fury's 40th anniversary anthology album to get us in the mood, all 3 of us singing along to hits such as 'Gonna Type a Letter', 'Cross My Heart' and 'I Will' (rather badly I might add)!
We arrived in Blackpool around 7 and found a place to park, only to be told we were in the wrong place, so off we went looking for somewhere else with the clock ticking! We eventually found a spot and literally began to run down the sea-front (which isn't a good idea when your 6 months pregnant and needing the loo)!
We got to Blackpool's North Pier about 7:25 where we were greeted by the lovely Andy and his wife waiting patiently with our tickets but really didn't get chance to chat due to my baby bouncing on my bladder and the show about to start!!
Although I have seen the show twice before I still had butterflies as it was starting and couldn't help but smile when Fury's Tornados came onto the stage. It was brilliant, just as I remembered it being the previous times. My mum, sister and myself all enjoyed jiving and singing along in our seats, not to forget my mum wolf whistling at Colin Gold everytime he finished a song!
During the interval Andy approached us with a pic of Colin Gold and assured us we would be meeting the guys after the show for autographs and photos (much to my mothers delight)!!
The second half of the show was as brilliant as the first, again with us all singing and bopping along, oh.. and not forgetting the wolf whistling!!
After the show the band were signing autographs so we waited until they had finished then Andy introduced us to them! They were all lovely guys, signing autographs for us, chatting away and having their photos taken with us - now you wouldn't catch Robbie Williams doing that, would you?!
After all the excitement, I finally dragged my mum away.. it was time to head home!
I can't thank all involved enough, especially Andy, and its safe to say a fantastic night was had by all and i would highly recommend anyone to see the show!
